He was born on January 1, 1956 in Kamisli village of Agri as the second child of Nureddin Atmaca and Mahi Atmaca. He completed his primary education in Ceylanli Village Primary School and secondary education in Ataturk Secondary School. He completed his high school education in 1974 and graduated from Naci Gokce High School. He married Katibe Atmaca in 1974. In November 1975, his first child was born. He has five children, two boys, and three girls. In 1979, he and his family moved from Kamisli Village to center of Agri. In the same year, he started his business career by opening a white goods, electronics, and furniture store in Agri using funds provided by his father, Nureddin Atmaca. Between 1979 and 1988, Hayrettin Atmaca, a successful businessman, was the distributor of several worldwide brands, particularly the AEG brand, and in 1988 he became the tax winner in Agri. In 1988, he decided to continue his commercial life in Istanbul in order to improve his current business volume and settled in Istanbul with his family.
In 1989, the first music set was produced in Okmeydanı under the Sunny brand. In 1994, production was moved to Bayrampaşa in order to meet the increasing demand and growing business volume. Aside from audio systems, the variety of products produced at the Bayrampasa facility has expanded to include television and satellite receivers.In 2005, Turkey’s third biggest electronic production facility in terms of production capacity was established in Esenyurt in order to improve its position in the television and satellite receiver sector in Turkey and to contribute to the country’s economy in international markets. He intends to reinvest his profits in his company and nation, and to expand his domestic manufacturing potential in the electronics sector on a regular basis.
Sunny Electronics can perform all R&D and manufacturing phases using local resources, from idea to finished product, and it was ranked among Turkey’s 500 largest industrial companies in 2011. He has remarkable sensitivity in social help, in addition to his commercial successes. He has made it his responsibility to serve his country.
For this purpose, Hayrettin Atmaca Education Health and Technology Foundation was established in 2009. Through the foundation, hecontinues to serve his hometown Ağrı and his country.
Hayrettin Atmaca passed away on March 5, 2013 in Istanbul due to the disease he had been fighting for 10 years.
1989 yılında Sunny markası altında Okmeydanı’nda ilk olarak müzik seti üretime başlamıştır. 1994 yılında artan talep ve büyüyen iş hacmini karşılamak amacıyla üretim Bayrampaşa’ya taşınmıştır. Bayrampaşa’da bulunan fabrikada müzik seti üretiminin yanında televizyon ve uydu alıcısı ile birlikte üretim çeşitliliği artmıştır. 2005 yılında Esenyurt’ta televizyon ve uydu alıcı sektöründe Türkiye’de sahip olduğu konumunu geliştirmek ile birlikte dış pazarlarda da ülke ekonomisine katkıda bulunmak amacıyla üretim kapasitesi açısından Türkiye’nin en büyük 3. elektronik üretim tesisini inşa ettirmiştir. Kazanımlarını devamlı olarak işine ve ülkesine yatırmayı amaç edinmiş ve elektronik sektöründeki yerli üretim olanaklarını her geçen gün arttırmayı hedef göstermiştir.
Üretimde fikir aşamasından nihai ürüne kadar olan tüm Ar-Ge ve üretim aşamaları Sunny Elektronik bünyesinde yerli imkanlarla gerçekleştirilebilir duruma gelmiş ve 2011 yılında Türkiye’nin en büyük 500 sanayi kuruluşu arasında yer almıştır. Ticari başarılarının yanında sosyal yardımlaşma konusunda da büyük hassasiyete sahiptir. Ülkesine ve memleketine hizmet etmeyi görev edinmiştir.
Bu amaçla 2009 yılında Hayrettin Atmaca Eğitim Sağlık ve Teknoloji Vakfı kurulmuştur. Kurulan vakıf aracılığı ile memleketi Ağrı’ya ve ülkesine hizmete devam edilmektedir.
Hayrettin Atmaca 10 yıl boyunca mücadele etmiş olduğu hastalığından dolayı 5 Mart 2013 yılında İstanbul’da vefat etmiştir.
